Namibian Tourism Board
The Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) was formed by an act of Parliament as a statutory body, responsible for bringing together both the private and public sector in implementing the national policy on tourism in Namibia. The Board was established on April 2, 2001 with the following mandate:
o Promote Namibia's tourism industry both internationally and locally.
o Ensure that services rendered and facilities provided to tourists comply with the prescribed standards.
o Register and grade accommodation establishments, and other tourism related businesses.
o Promote the training of persons engaged in the tourism industry.
o Promote the development of environmentally sustainable tourism by actively supporting the long-term conservation, maintenance and development of the natural resources base of Namibia.
o Provide advice and guidance to persons engaged in the tourism industry.

Hospitality Association of Namibia
The Hospitality Association of Namibia's vision is to be viewed by members and visitors in Namibia as the benchmark for quality in all hospitality endeavours. HAN has two primary objectives. Firstly, it strives to promote the common interests of its members and the sound development of the hospitality industry in Namibia.
The second objective is to set the highest possible standards of hospitality excellence, and to motivate and support it's members in striving to reach them.

o The best service experience to all visitors.
o Safety of the individual and protection of the environment.

Air Namibia
The national Namibian airline connects Namibia with over 36 destinations worldwide. Domestically Air Namibia fly to 5 cities within Namibia, regionally to 5 destinations in Africa and internationally to over 17 European countries through Frankfurt and connects to North America via New York. Jetlag is not an issue on all Air Namibia's international flights as there is no or only a minimal time difference between Europe and Namibia.
From Hosea Kutako International Airport you can reach the capital by bus or taxi, or make use of the multitude of car rental companies represented at the airport. The airport is situated 45 km to the east of Windhoek at an altitude of about 1719 metres above sea level.
