Desert Camp Layout Plan
Nestled under centuries old thorn trees, Desert Camp has an unsurpassed 360 degrees view over the desert landscape and surrounding mountains.
Guests are welcomed at the reception area where they can book in and acquire ammo boxes with cooking- and eating utensils. Ordering fresh food supplies, booking meals at the nearby Sossusvlei Lodge, requesting boma usage, purchasing firewood and firelighters, are all done at reception.
The self-catering accommodation units are divided in two sections either side of the main complex with rooms 201 to 210 to the right and rooms 211 to 220 to the left.
The sparkling swimming pool, with its ornamental fountain and water jets is the focal point of the central communal area. The pool is only available to paying guests and is used at own risk. Towels are available at reception. Children must be under the supervision of a responsible adult at all times.
The unique Desert Camp bar is constructed from carved wood and has a big screen television for viewing news and sporting events. The bar opens at 14h00 daily until late. Ice and soft drinks may be obtained from reception between 08h30 and opening time.
For groups traveling together, the two boma's provide an ideal area for everyone to get together for a barbeque or just to socialise. Adjacent to the swimming pool, bar and public toilets, these areas have preparation, cooking, dining and wash-up facilities.
